Articles on Elizabeth, New Pictures, and A Release Date!

Kelsey has sent in an article from ZoomInfo on Elizabeth McLaughlin! It is a short interview with Elizabeth when was just 10 years old about her performing with Entertainment Revenue. Also sent in by Kelsey is a news release from Kay Studios. In this document, there is some information about the Clique and a few photos. Here a few quotes about news on the Clique movie!:

"The Clique" Mentioned In The Providence Journal

The Clique movie has been mentioned in an article in The Providence Journal! In the fourth paragraph of the article, the Clique is summarized and it gives quotes from Steven Feinberg about the possibility of more Clique movies. Feinberg's older quotes hint at more Clique movies being made but, his newer quote "I don’t know" isn't so promising =/ Hopefully, though, The Clique will do well so that we can see all of the books in the series in movies! Anyways, you can read the full article here. It's pretty cool even though they got Lisi's name wrong and called her Isis Harrison.

The Clique Movie Updates E-Mail!

Hey! There's no Clique movie news today but I wanted to inform you that I recently set up an e-mail account for this website. Lisi Harrison's Blah-g Update!

Lisi Harrison has updated her Blah-g again! First, Lisi kind of apologizes for the ET segment by saying "Okay, so ET didn’t dish on the cast like I was hoping they would. But We did learn that Tyra had boy problems and that made me feel a lot better about my unrequited crushes."
In this post, Lisi reveals that today was the last day of filming the Clique and says "Can you believe? It went by so fast." She also posted the final call sheet for the Clique movie. On the call sheet, it shows that the name of the actress who plays Kendra is Julie. So, I'm pretty sure now that Julie Lauren is playing Kendra Block. Also on the call sheet there are some descriptions of the scenes that they shot today. ^_^So go view the call sheet here.
Lisi also tells us all about Juliana's character in the movie. Juliana plays Debby Weezer, "one of the girls on the bus whose lips blew up because she was allergic to TPC’s homemade lip gloss". In the Blah-g, Lisi shares a little story about how Debby Weezer was actually named after one of her friends. Go check out the full post here. =D

More Clique Movie Castings!

Recently online there has been talk about the casting of Kendra Block, Issac, Shelby, and Jenna. There has been no official confirmation of the casting of Kendra, Issac, and Shelby, so we'll have to think of it as a rumor until we learn more. Anyways, here is the list of actors who are said to play these roles:
Kendra Block = Julie Lauren
Issac = Boris McGiver
Shelby = Elizabeth Gillies
Jenna = Shelby Stanton
Julie Lauren has acted in many TV shows such as Friends, Law & Order, and The Guiding Light. I don't believe she has had any major roles but having so many small roles probably means that she has a lot of experience and would do well in this movie. =) Boris McGiver has been on many TV shows as well and has acted in the feature film "The Pink Panther" as Vainqueur. He isn't exactly how I pictured Issac but with all his experience in the acting businees, I'm positive that he would be just fine.
I have to admit that I have no idea who Shelby and Jenna are in the Clique movie. I don't think that they were in the book so they were probably just added into the movie. They will most likely be playing students in the school. I'm thinking that they will be LBRs that annoy the PC throughout the movie. Well anyways, Elizabeth Gillies has acted in The Black Donnellys and will be in the upcoming movie "Harold". Shelby Stanton doesn't have much experience in the acting business either so we will just have to wait and see how she does in the movie. Shelby does however, have an IMDB resume which states some of her theater roles and confirms that she will be Jenna in the Clique movie.

Star To Appear In The Clique Movie!

Okay, so while I was surfing the web today I came across an article on the Clique movie. It was written at the end of January but it has some really great news. In the beginning of the article it sums up things we already know about the movie but at the end it says that in the Clique movie there will be a recognizable star! The article does not reveal who the star is but I think I know what character they may portray. When I looked back at this post I made earlier I noticed that for some characters it says that "recognizable names are welcome" on three roles. So, the "star" will most likely be playing the role of Issac, William Block, or Nurse Adele. Anyway, in the article it also states that if The Clique movie is a success that they will make movies of the other books in the Clique series. Hopefully, the movie will do well so we can see the sequels of it! =D

The Clique on Entertainment Tonight!

Lisi Harrison has updated her blah-g about the Clique cast appearing on Entertainment Tonight. Lisi stated that "Word is they will show Tyra and the cast this Friday"but she said that she is waiting for confirmation about this. It is very exciting that we'll get to see the cast and watch some interviews this early! As I said before, when it comes on I'll try to record it and post it on YouTube. But, if YouTube takes it down because of copyright issues, then I'll try to find a link to it. =) Anyways, on Lisi's blah-g she also posted a photo of her and Dylan, who will be playing Todd. It is a really dark photo and hard to make out but since I have Photoshop, I just put it on there and lightened it up a bit. With my lightened up picture, you can clearly see them both. Also, in the background there is a table with a lot of books and a woman leaning over it. I am pretty sure that is the classroom that the cast of the Clique study in every day. Anyways, here is the photo:

Clique Videos on YouTube!

Hey guys! I wanted to let you all know that I now have an offical YouTube channel, located here. I don't have any videos up yet, but when interviews and previews for the Clique begin to appear, I'll put them on my channel. I'll either record and upload them myself or I'll favorite others videos of the previews. It all depends on how strict the company that makes the Clique decides to be about copyright. So, visit it, subscribe, comment, add me as a friend and do all that good stuff! Anyways, so after I made the channel I searched for videos about the Clique and found a few cool ones that I wanted to share with you guys!

Okay, so the first interesting video I found got me really excited because it was an audition tape for the Clique movie! Not one for the online contest but an actual audition for the part of Massie Block. Alexandra Wetmore, the girl who acted in this video, unfortunately did not get the part of Massie but she was nice enough to upload this video of her audition. In the clip, many scenes from the book are included, such as Claire and Massie meeting, Massie horseback riding with Chris, and Massie and Claire's conversation at the auction. I think it's really fun to see what some of the lines from the movie will be like. So, here is the video:

I also found a video of Elizabeth McLaughlin's entry to "The Last Song You'll Ever Sing Contest" for Paramore. In it she sings "Conspiracy"by Paramore really well. Just keep in mind that this was taken a year ago, so she doesn't look the same as she did in the Ugly Betty clip. =)

The Clique Movie at URI Campus!

An article came out on Wednesday about the Clique movie being shot at the University of Rhode Island. In the article, it is revealed that the filmakers are going all out for this movie, even though it is a DVD release. Scott Levine, a part-time instructor at URI was quoted as saying "A lot of times something that is going directly to DVD has kind of a dark quality about it, as if it were not as good. This is being designed for DVD, because it is being made for younger girls and there is a market for it."
So, we can be sure that the Clique movie will be just as good as a movie release in theatres. Also, in the article it is reported that Nancy Sadsad will be playing a parent in the movie. I have no idea if she will be the parent of a member of the Pretty Committee or just a parent in the background(like an extra). I was able to find her MySpace (located here) and judging by her pictures, she will probably be Alicia's mom or just a parent in the background. Anyways, the article was pretty cool as it had photos from the set and quotes from Ellen Marlow. Check out it out here.
